Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experiences started surfacing last week, with users encountering a problem that abruptly jumps to the end of programs without warning. This issue is causing annoyance as viewers find themselves suddenly at the credits section without manually fast-forwarding.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky expressed concerns about ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes randomly over the past few days. Another user named Dawn also reported similar issues of programs jumping to the end, usually occurring at the start or after ad breaks.

The technical hitches seem to impact users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains uncertain if Sky Q is also affected, most complaints are stemming from users utilizing broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.

Despite the lack of clarity on the root cause of these disruptions, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that efforts are underway to address it. Kev mentioned in an online post that the company is collaborating with ITV to resolve the issue and will provide updates as progress is made.

For now, users may have to endure the skipping problems, but a solution is hopefully in the works. Mirror Online will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as new information emerges.
