Twitter/X experienced another outage this afternoon, following recent disruptions earlier in the week.
Following reports of issues on Monday and Tuesday, the platform associated with Elon Musk is once again facing technical difficulties.
According to Downdetector, a significant number of users encountered difficulties accessing specific X webpages, with some experiencing issues related to the app and login process.
Users of X/Twitter are still reporting problems on Downdetector, albeit at a slower pace compared to earlier instances.
As of 4:43 pm, there have been 118 reports, significantly surpassing the baseline of 4.
Some users have regained access to the social media platform.
A number of users have noted that the service has been restored but are questioning the recurring outages of X.
One user commented, “How many more times will X go down this week? Sort it Elon.”
Downdetector is a platform where users can report issues with popular services such as X when facing difficulties.
By approximately 4 pm, over 3,000 reports had been filed in the UK alone.
Downdetector indicated that 63% of the complaints were related to the app.
The spike is noticeable on the site
Users experiencing issues are encountering an error message when attempting to view their timelines and profiles.
The error message prompts users to “Try reloading” as something went wrong during the loading process.
As users await updates, there has been no communication from the social media company regarding the ongoing disruption.
This marks the third significant outage on the platform within four days.
The previous outage occurred on Tuesday, preventing millions of users from accessing X for approximately an hour.
