A court has heard that a teenager allegedly involved in the murder of a 14-year-old boy bragged about the crime in a rap video recorded shortly after the incident. The victim, Ibrahima Seck, was fatally stabbed while on his way to a football game in the New Moston area of Manchester in June. Despite seeking help from nearby residents, he succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Three teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, are currently on trial facing charges of murder in relation to the case. Due to their age, their identities are protected. According to the prosecution, these individuals, along with others, had been threatening Ibrahima, his family, and friends.
During the trial, it was alleged that the accused group chased Ibrahima, leading to a fatal confrontation where he was stabbed. The prosecution claimed that one of the defendants knelt over the victim and fatally wounded him, while the others encouraged the act. Subsequently, one of the accused purportedly filmed himself rapping about the murder. Ibrahima’s brothers were reportedly present during the attack and heard the assailant demanding something.
The prosecution emphasized that the incident was deliberate, not accidental. Although CCTV footage was shown to the jury, the actual stabbing was obstructed by a tree. However, enhanced police audio captured the chaotic aftermath of the attack.
Following the stabbing, two women allegedly assisted in removing two of the defendants from the scene. The three teenagers have denied charges of murder and manslaughter, while the women have denied allegations of aiding an offender. The trial is ongoing at Manchester Crown Court.
