Scottie Scheffler has now entered the $100 million club, aligning him with golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, following a commanding victory at The American Express to kick off his season. The current world No.1 has sent a strong message to the reigning Masters champion, establishing himself as a major contender this season.

Last year, Scheffler faced an injury setback in January when a wine glass he was using to shape ravioli shattered in his hand during Christmas. However, he has made a remarkable comeback in 2026, finishing with a stellar six-under 66 to secure a four-shot win in California, marking his 20th PGA Tour victory within the last four years and granting him a lifetime membership.

With his on-course earnings totaling $101,109,136, Scheffler has now joined the elite ranks of Woods and McIlroy in surpassing the nine-figure mark on the PGA Tour, showcasing his prowess in the sport. At 29 years old, Scheffler has also achieved a milestone shared only with Woods and Jack Nicklaus, having claimed 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

Reflecting on his accomplishments, Scheffler expressed his excitement at being mentioned alongside golf icons like Woods and Nicklaus, emphasizing his dedication to his craft and preparation for each event. Since his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has outpaced McIlroy with 11 additional victories, underscoring his consistent performance in stroke-play events.

Former world No.1 Jason Day commended Scheffler’s impressive run, likening his consistency to that of Tiger Woods, acknowledging the challenge of maintaining hunger and drive in the sport. Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement, anticipating an even stronger performance after a slow start last season, with the upcoming Masters tournament on the horizon.

Additionally, teenager Blades Brown emerged as a standout performer during the week, sharing the final group with Scheffler and finishing tied 18th, reflecting on the surreal experience of witnessing Scheffler’s victory firsthand. Brown’s admiration for Scheffler’s skill and composure underscores the impact of Scheffler’s dominance on the golfing world.

As Scheffler continues to raise the bar in professional golf, his pursuit of excellence and hunger for success set him apart as a formidable force in the sport, leaving competitors in awe of his talent and determination.
