Eight individuals were swiftly transported to the hospital following an accident involving a school minibus and a tree in County Antrim.
The incident occurred around 12:30 pm, prompting the immediate response of police, fire crews, and eight ambulances at Tirgracy Road.
According to a police representative, a single-vehicle collision took place on Tirgracy Road in Antrim before 12:30 pm on Tuesday, November 11. Several individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The road remains closed.
The minibus, reportedly affiliated with a local college, was carrying multiple passengers, some of whom received on-site treatment for various injuries.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a distress call at 12:36 pm on November 11 regarding a road traffic incident on Tirgracy Road in Antrim. Multiple emergency resources, including ambulances, paramedics, and response teams, were dispatched to the scene for assistance.
Additionally, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service deployed one fire engine to the site. Firefighters aided the injured individuals, collaborated with the ambulance service, and ensured the area’s safety before handing over the scene to the police. The incident was resolved by 2:00 pm.
