Freeview has announced significant changes to its TV guide, including channel position adjustments and a rebrand. Notably, Talk (Ch 280) will cease to be available on Freeview, requiring viewers to access the service via the official Talk app or other platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
In addition to the closure of Talk, Freeview’s latest update reveals that Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will be rebranded as Wedotv. Furthermore, three services will be relocated on the planner. Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will all be moving to new channel numbers, with Ketchup TV shifting from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics moving from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview confirmed that on June 25, 2026, several broadcasters will be altering their channels, emphasizing the continuous evolution of channels on Freeview as individual channels make decisions to relocate, add, or remove channels to offer a diverse content experience. To ensure access to the correct channels, viewers are advised to retune their TVs by accessing the settings and following the on-screen instructions.
For those needing to retune their TVs, the process involves pressing the menu button on the remote control, selecting options like ‘set-up’ or ‘installation’, choosing ‘first-time installation’, and confirming the deletion of existing channels before allowing the retune to start automatically. Save any newly found channels when prompted to complete the process successfully.
