Luke Littler has shared that Mensur Suljovic predicted their meeting in the third round of the World Darts Championship before the tournament began. Littler, aged 18, advanced in the competition by defeating Welsh player David Davies in straight sets.

Despite being the favorite to win at Alexandra Palace, Littler’s path to victory has been aided by Gerwyn Price’s elimination by Wesley Plaisier. Suljovic also secured a win against Joe Cullen in a tense match earlier in the day.

Cullen expressed frustration with Suljovic’s slow pace during their match, accusing him of ‘cheating’ on social media. However, Suljovic brushed off the criticism and focused on his upcoming matches.

Prior to the tournament, Suljovic had already anticipated facing Littler. Following Littler’s victory over Davies, he revealed receiving a brief message from Suljovic, setting the stage for their anticipated clash in the third round.

As the tournament progresses, Littler aims to maintain his form and composure, contrasting with Cullen’s visible frustration towards Suljovic’s playing style. Cullen’s post-match reaction on social media criticized Suljovic’s conduct during their encounter.

Littler’s prospects have significantly improved with key competitors like Ryan Joyce and Chris Dobey being eliminated, making his journey to the final appear more favorable on paper.

The PDC World Darts Championship commenced on December 11, offering fans the opportunity to watch every match live exclusively through Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle.
