A well-known online beauty retailer is potentially up for sale as reports indicate that advisors have been enlisted to assess the company. Founded in 1999 by siblings Arron and David Gabbie, Beauty Bay, headquartered in Manchester, offers over 200 brands on its platform, including popular names like Ariana Grande, Clinique, MAC, and its own product line.

According to a recent update from Sky News, Beauty Bay is contemplating various funding options, including a potential sale of the business. The advisory firm Interpath is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on this initiative.

With a workforce of 65 individuals, Beauty Bay has been approached for comments by Mirror. This development follows the recent news of the collapse of beauty brand Malin + Goetz, forcing the closure of its seven stores in London and impacting over 70 jobs. As a temporary measure, online orders from Malin + Goetz have been suspended, redirecting customers to third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK for purchases.

In a statement to TheIndustry.beauty, a spokesperson for Malin + Goetz expressed regret over the decision to place their UK business into administration, leading to store closures and job losses. While the website is expected to resume operations after a brief maintenance period, the timeline remains uncertain. Established in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, Malin + Goetz initially offered six products catering to all skin types before expanding into fragrance, body care, and other beauty segments.
