Fourth-ranked Canadian tennis player Felix Auger-Aliassime is set to lead the Canadian team during the upcoming second round of Davis Cup qualifiers in Quebec City. Tennis Canada has announced that Auger-Aliassime will be accompanied by Montreal native Gabriel Diallo, Liam Draxl from Newmarket, Ontario, and Duncan Chan from Markham, Ontario.
Canada, currently ranked 12th in the tournament, is scheduled to face sixth-ranked France in a crucial best-of-five tie at the Videotron Centre. The victorious team will secure a spot in the 2026 Davis Cup Finals scheduled for November.
In the previous round of qualifiers in February, Canada narrowly defeated Brazil with a score of 3-2, while France secured their spot by overcoming Slovakia with a 3-1 victory.
