Actor Dylan Walsh from the series “Heated Rivalry” sparked excitement among fans by hinting at the possibility of filming twelve new episodes, suggesting the potential for multiple seasons in the making. The 62-year-old American actor disclosed this information in a personalized video on the platform Cameo, later reposted by TikTok user Savannah Leigh.

In the video, Walsh, known for his role as the supportive father of hockey player Shane Hollander portrayed by Canadian actor Hudson Williams, expressed his love for being part of “Heated Rivalry.” He mentioned his pride in the show and hinted at filming additional episodes in Canada, suggesting a total of twelve new episodes.

However, Walsh faced backlash for his comments and subsequently issued an apology for speculating about the production schedule and episode count without official confirmation. He paused his Cameo account and expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm surrounding the series. The show’s representative has not responded to inquiries regarding Walsh’s remarks.

Apart from his role in “Heated Rivalry,” Walsh has an extensive acting career, appearing in TV series like “Nip/Tuck” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” as well as films such as “Congo” (1995) and “The Stepfather” (2009).

The show has been a hit with fans, prompting a flurry of excitement and discussions. Recent incidents include the series creator’s plea for privacy during production, fans rushing to purchase branded merchandise, and criticisms about casting choices for the upcoming season.

Speculation arose among fans following Walsh’s video, with some suggesting that production might encompass both the second and potentially a third season. The first season of “Heated Rivalry” consisted of six episodes, with the creator expressing a preference for concise seasons in an interview.

Based on Canadian author Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” series, the show has garnered numerous accolades, including a Peabody Award and a Canadian Screen Award for best drama series. The second season is currently in production in Toronto and Montreal.

In a recent announcement on Instagram, Crave Canada unveiled five new cast members for the upcoming season of the show, generating further excitement among fans and cast alike. Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka are set to join the acclaimed series, with Priyanka expressing elation about being part of the “Heated Rivalry” universe.
