Four fortunate Premium Bonds investors have each snagged £100,000 prizes by acquiring their winning bonds in December but being eligible for the draw starting February 2026. One individual who purchased a £50 bond in December 2025 is among the winners.
The winners are spread across different locations, with one residing in Essex holding a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds. The second winner from Brighton and Hove possesses a winning bond worth £13,000, holding a total of £38,025 in Premium Bonds.
The remaining two £100,000 winners each hold £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with one residing in Cheshire and the other in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Each month, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are distributed, with winners in the February 2026 draw hailing from Liverpool and Central Bedfordshire.
Premium Bonds, managed by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), offer a unique savings opportunity where instead of fixed interest rates, investors participate in monthly prize draws. Prize amounts range from £25 to £1 million, with higher chances of winning smaller prizes compared to larger sums.
The maximum investment allowed in Premium Bonds is £50,000, with each pound invested assigned a unique bond number. The odds of winning a prize each month stand at 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond.
Winners receive notifications from NS&I via email or text message and can opt to receive their prize money in their bank account or reinvest it into Premium Bonds. An online prize checker tool is available for winners to verify their status.
The current prize fund rate, akin to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, is 3.60%, maintained since the August 2025 draw.
Recent data highlighted the luckiest areas for Premium Bond wins, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight leading the way with 42 £100,000 prizes in 2025. Essex and Outer London followed closely with 37 and 32 winners of £100,000 prizes, respectively. Additionally, the £1 million jackpot was clinched twice in Norwich and Cumbria in 2025.
