Tommy Fleetwood has expressed his support for Brooks Koepka’s comeback to the PGA Tour and mentioned that LIV Golf has not approached him during this postseason. Koepka recently left the Saudi-backed tour and rejoined the PGA Tour, with his return set for the Farmers Insurance Open next week.

The move by Koepka has put pressure on LIV Golf to retain their other top players, as Patrick Reed has hinted at the possibility of returning as well. Fleetwood, currently ranked world No.3, praised the PGA Tour for offering exceptional events and substantial prize money, emphasizing his gratitude for being able to compete there.

Regarding Koepka’s return, Fleetwood stated, “It’s a positive development for the PGA Tour.” Fleetwood, who secured $10 million for his first PGA Tour victory at the Tour Championships, is now aiming for his first Major win, emphasizing the importance of aligning one’s goals and dreams with their playing environment.

LIV Golf, supported by Newcastle’s Public Investment Fund, made significant financial commitments in its initial seasons, including lucrative deals with players like Koepka and Rahm. This year, the focus has shifted to less high-profile signings, with new additions to the roster.

Fleetwood, a former Nike ambassador, acknowledged the changing landscape in golf due to players transitioning to LIV Golf but confirmed no contact from the organization regarding his involvement. Shane Lowry, Fleetwood’s Ryder Cup teammate, commended Koepka’s swift return to the PGA Tour and highlighted the positive impact it would have on the tour’s smaller events.

Lowry, reflecting on his recent performance at the Dubai Invitational, mentioned his disappointment at missing out on victory due to a final-hole mishap. Despite the setback, Lowry remains focused on his upcoming tournaments and aims to deliver his best performance.
