The popular superhero film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” has set a remarkable record by swiftly surpassing the $700-million mark at the North American box office. Achieving this feat in just 13 days, it outpaced many other successful movies that have reached this milestone. Noteworthy examples include “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Avengers: Endgame,” which took 16 days each to hit the same mark.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” a collaboration between Marvel and Sony, features Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker for the fourth time. Alongside Holland is his real-life partner, Zendaya, and a stellar cast including Jon Bernthal, Florence Pugh, Mark Ruffalo, and newcomer Sadie Sink. The storyline follows Peter Parker navigating a world where he is forgotten as Spider-Man, leading to a struggle with isolation and unpredictable powers.

This latest installment of the franchise has not only raked in $704.5 million in North America but has also garnered an impressive $1.108 billion globally within just two weekends of its release. Surpassing the international earnings of its predecessor, “No Way Home,” which grossed $1.106 billion, the film continues to soar to new heights.

In addition to its financial success, the blockbuster has broken multiple records, including surpassing “Avengers: Endgame” for the biggest domestic opening weekend, achieving the highest-grossing first week in domestic box office history, and becoming the second-fastest film to reach $1 billion globally, trailing only behind “Avengers: Endgame.”

Furthermore, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has emerged as Sony’s highest-grossing release in 26 international markets, solidifying its position as a monumental success in the realm of superhero movies.
