Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is sure to grab attention. The television provider is set to roll out a compelling subscription package that combines several of the most popular streaming services worldwide at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, both new and existing customers will soon enjoy access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the feature-rich HBO Max app, slated for release next month.
According to Sky, this bundled offering delivers excellent value for money, incorporating approximately £20 worth of streaming apps for a lower cost. Considering Sky’s current basic plan at £15 per month, the added content effectively becomes available for an extra £9 only.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will gain access to over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.
Another perk for Sky Cinema users is the addition of a dedicated Disney movie channel directly to the planner, allowing them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to open the Disney+ app.
Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can transfer their current plan to Sky, maintaining their profiles and viewing history.
Sky has confirmed that all supported apps will be conveniently accessible from the homepage, featuring fully integrated content. This integration enables users to discover shows and movies through voice search and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be accessible across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described the update as the start of a “new era” for Sky and NOW, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. She highlighted the integrated viewing experience and exceptional value for customers, with HBO Max included at no extra charge for NOW Entertainment subscribers.
Sky’s move emphasizes its commitment to innovation, streamlining the process for viewers to enjoy premium entertainment conveniently in one place.
Included in the update are:
• Netflix Standard with Ads
• Disney+ Standard with Ads – starting in March
• HBO Max Basic with Ads – launching in the UK & Ireland on March 26
• Hayu from July, with select top shows available from March
