Sky TV is undergoing a significant channel reshuffle this week, affecting over 30 services on the television planner. The focus of the revamp is on Sky’s extensive radio channel lineup, which includes popular stations like BBC, Capital FM, Heart, and talkSPORT.
The changes are aimed at optimizing the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) to streamline channel access for viewers. This adjustment is expected to enhance the user experience by making it more convenient to navigate to preferred radio content.
The channel realignment began on May 27th, with Mirror Online confirming the update’s implementation on their Sky Q box. Notably, all modifications are automatic, eliminating the need for users to manually reconfigure their settings.
Some key channel movements include talkSPORT shifting from Ch 0108 to Ch 0107, Capital FM from Ch 0109 to Ch 0108, Heart from Ch 0111 to Ch 0109, and various other stations making similar transitions. These rearrangements aim to streamline channel organization and improve accessibility for viewers.
In addition to the channel changes, Sky is offering free movies until May 31st as a gesture of appreciation for users affected by recent service disruptions. Customers can access the complimentary movies by visiting the Sky Store on the homepage and selecting a film of their choice.
Popular movie titles included in the gift package are Bullet Train, Jumanji: The Next Level, Les Misérables, Venom, Gladiator, Bridesmaids, and The Equalizer. Once downloaded, the movie becomes the customer’s permanent possession, providing an added incentive for Sky Q subscribers to explore the available film selection.
