Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a recent announcement. The majority of users will face a £1.50 per month hike, amounting to an annual increment of £18. However, individual bill adjustments may vary.

The revised charges will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. Customers under contract who are dissatisfied with the price hike can opt to cancel their service without incurring early termination fees.

Notably, the price of the Sky Mobile social tariff, designed for individuals with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. The company attributed the price adjustment to escalating wholesale network expenses and assured customers of prompt notifications regarding bill alterations.

A spokesperson from Sky Mobile explained that the £1.50 monthly increase for most customers is necessary to maintain the expected service quality and value, emphasizing that such decisions are made conscientiously. The adjustment, fueled by industry-wide cost pressures, enables continued investments in network enhancements and customer experience enhancements.

In a similar vein, O2 recently announced a £2.50 monthly increase for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers from April 2026, surpassing the initially planned £1.80 hike. Additionally, Three mobile customers opting for data plans of 4GB or less will face a monthly upsurge of £1.80 starting in April 2026, representing an 80p increment from the current £1 raise.

For Three customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB, the monthly charge will rise by £1.90 from April 2026, while those with over 100GB will experience a £2.30 increase per month. Three broadband users, on the other hand, will see a £3.50 monthly escalation starting April 2026.

Vodafone mobile subscribers who sign up for new deals from November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly rise, with Basics SIM plan holders facing a £1.50 increase. Vodafone broadband customers, meanwhile, will encounter a £3.50 monthly surge. Existing Vodafone or Three broadband and mobile contract holders will be subject to the agreed-upon price adjustments.

The industry-wide trend of price adjustments reflects the evolving landscape of telecommunications services, as providers navigate cost challenges while striving to enhance their offerings and customer interactions.
