Sky has recently announced upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup. Sky Showcase and Sky Max are set to close on February 24, with a new channel, Sky One, taking their place. Sky One will feature a variety of comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, as well as returning favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted.
Additionally, Sky One will become the home of Saturday Night Live UK in the near future. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s launch, emphasizing the focus on providing a unique destination for viewers with a mix of new and beloved content.
In addition to the channel launch, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV for £24 per month. This plan will offer access to streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and HBO Max, along with over 130 premium channels including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. Sky Cinema users will also benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, allowing for seamless access to Hollywood hits.
The Ultimate TV plan includes the following:
– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads starting in March
– HBO Max Basic with Ads starting on March 26th
– Hayu starting in July, with select shows available from March
– Over 130 channels from Sky
