Tributes are being paid to a young woman described as a “beautiful soul” who was one of the victims in a tragic car accident in Ireland over the weekend. Chloe Hipson, a 21-year-old from Lanarkshire, Scotland, lost her life along with four others when the Volkswagen Golf they were traveling in collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser near Dundalk late on Saturday.

Another person in the same car, a man in his 20s, is currently receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The group was reportedly heading to Dundalk for a night out at the time of the accident.

Chloe, who hailed from Bellshill, is being mourned by her local community. North Motherwell FC, where her brother plays, announced a minute of silence in her honor. The football club expressed their deep condolences to Chloe’s family and emphasized the special place they hold within the football community.

Online tributes poured in for Chloe, with many describing her as a kind-hearted and beautiful individual. The tragic incident also resulted in injuries to a man and a woman from the other vehicle, who were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the crash, with ongoing inquiries. Garda Superintendent Charlie Armstrong extended sympathies to the families affected by the loss of the five young adults, emphasizing the impact on local communities in both Ireland and Scotland. He urged anyone with information about the collision to come forward and assist in the investigation.
