A suspect identified as Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano, also known as “Little J,” has been apprehended in Peru after fleeing Argentina, where he allegedly orchestrated the brutal torture and murder of three women. The victims, Lara Gutierrez, 15, and her cousins Morena Verdi, 20, and Brenda Del Castillo, were lured into a house in Buenos Aires under false pretenses and subsequently killed by drug traffickers. The harrowing incident was livestreamed to a private social media group before the women were murdered and their bodies disposed of in plastic bags.
After days of investigation, the dismembered remains of the victims were found buried in the backyard of a home outside Buenos Aires. Authorities suspect that the women were targeted for punishment and retaliation, following an alleged theft of drugs by one of the victims from a cartel member believed to be the leader of a criminal organization.
Reports indicate that the victims suffered horrific fates, with Lara having her left hand fingers amputated before her death, Brenda sustaining a fractured skull and abdominal injuries post-mortem, and Morena being suffocated with a plastic bag. The gruesome murders were witnessed by around 45 people on a livestream via a social media platform.
In a collaborative effort, law enforcement agencies in Peru and Argentina successfully apprehended Valverde and his alleged accomplice, Matias Agustin Ozorio. The arrests were commended by Patricia Bullrich, Argentina’s Minister of National Security, who praised the cooperation between the two countries in capturing the fugitives responsible for the triple murders. The suspects were taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation into the heinous crime.
The chilling details of the case shed light on the dark realities of drug-related violence and underscore the importance of international cooperation in combating such criminal activities.
