The trophy, named after Canadian soccer icon and NSL co-founder Diana Matheson, is awarded to the league champion in recognition of the ongoing advancement of professional women’s soccer in Canada. Ottawa Rapid FC, with a record of 10 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws, currently leads the NSL standings.
Last season, Vancouver Rise FC clinched the championship title in the league’s inaugural year.
