A senior figure within the NHS has been accused of sexually assaulting multiple children after using fake identities on Snapchat to target young girls, a court heard. Paul Lipscombe, a convicted sex offender, is currently facing sentencing at Leicester Crown Court for his crimes, which involved a 12-year-old boy among other victims.

The 51-year-old admitted to 34 offenses, including rape, sexual assault, and engaging in sexual activities with children aged between 12 and 15. Lipscombe, a married software specialist from Rothley, Leicestershire, also confessed to producing indecent images of minors and promoting sexual activity.

During the trial, it was disclosed that Lipscombe was apprehended by authorities on suspicions of abducting a missing girl. The victim, a 15-year-old, was coerced by Lipscombe into making a false emergency call to the police alleging abuse and requesting to leave her home. The predator attempted to manipulate the situation by fabricating a narrative to incriminate others.

Further investigations revealed incriminating evidence at various locations linked to Lipscombe, indicating the sexual abuse of the victim. The prosecution highlighted that the perpetrator’s phone contained significant evidence of additional victims, leading to an expanded inquiry.

Despite his initial silence during police questioning, Lipscombe’s social media profiles, including fraudulent Snapchat accounts, portrayed him as an esteemed professional. The sentencing process is ongoing as the court continues to deliberate on the severity of his offenses.
