Sarah Pochin stated in a now-deleted social media video that she assisted Runcorn Amateur Boxing Club (ABC) in obtaining financial support to aid youth in the area. However, ABC has refuted these assertions, stating that they have not received any funding from Reform.
The club demanded an apology from the MP and emphasized its apolitical nature as a charity. Additionally, ABC clarified that Ms. Pochin did not have permission to film at their premises. In response to the club’s denial, Ms. Pochin explained that the funding she referenced was actually secured for Diverse Sports Runcorn (DSR), an organization operating within ABC but distinct from it.
Following further clarification and backlash, Ms. Pochin admitted that no additional funding had been acquired for Runcorn Amateur Boxing Club, confirming that the financial assistance had been sourced from existing resources allocated for the upcoming year.
