A mother has come forward with shocking revelations about Jihad Al-Shamie, the perpetrator of the recent synagogue attack. She disclosed that Al-Shamie had secretly proposed to her to become his ‘second wife’ despite already being married.

The woman detailed how Al-Shamie, a man filled with hatred, initially married her in an Islamic ceremony under the condition that they must be married to be in a relationship. However, he later confessed to having a wife and child in Manchester and continuously sought her forgiveness for his deceitful actions.

During an exclusive interview, the woman described how her initial feelings of love quickly turned into a nightmare of mental and sexual abuse as Al-Shamie repeatedly lied to her to protect his hidden life. Messages exchanged between the two individuals, uncovered by the Manchester Evening News, revealed the tumultuous nature of their relationship.

Al-Shamie, who was fatally shot by armed police following the synagogue attack, had maintained relationships with multiple women, possibly having more undisclosed marriages. The woman, choosing to remain anonymous, shared that she first encountered Al-Shamie on the Muzz dating app, formerly Muzmatch, just before Christmas in 2021, leading to their marriage a month later.

Their marriage, conducted through a Nikah ceremony following Islamic law, was held via an online video call due to Covid restrictions. The woman, who converted to Islam in 2012, provided documentation confirming her religious conversion. Despite Al-Shamie’s manipulative behavior and coercive tactics, she did not report the abuse to authorities at the time.

Al-Shamie’s deceitful actions, including hiding his existing family and making false promises, eventually unraveled as he desperately sought forgiveness from the woman. She described his control over her, instances of rape, and emotional manipulation throughout their turbulent relationship.

The woman recalled how Al-Shamie used various aliases on social media platforms and constantly showered her with affection and gifts to mask his deceit. Despite his professed love, he was quick to shift blame and manipulate situations to his advantage.

Reflecting on her harrowing experience, the woman expressed disbelief upon discovering Al-Shamie’s involvement in the tragic attack after returning from a trip abroad. She highlighted his misleading behavior and the absence of any violent or extremist tendencies during their time together.

Al-Shamie, a British citizen with Syrian origins, was under police investigation for rape when he carried out the deadly assault at the synagogue, resulting in the loss of innocent lives. Authorities suspect he may have been radicalized by extremist Islamist beliefs, leading to his violent actions.
