Five individuals, including the alleged perpetrator Thomas Jacob Sanford, have tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident at a Mormon church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, which was subsequently set ablaze.

The violent episode unfolded at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with distressing footage showing the church engulfed in flames and reports indicating the roof is at risk of collapsing.

Rapid police response within 30 seconds of the emergency call led to the neutralization of the shooter by a Department of Natural Resources officer and a Grand Blanc Township officer in the church’s parking lot.
