Luke Littler has announced his new career direction following a surprising split just before the World Grand Prix. At 18 years old, Littler has parted ways with ZXF Sports Management, ending a five-year relationship that began when he was only 13, right before his first match in Leicester.

In a remarkable display on Tuesday night, “Cool Hand Luke” defeated Gian van Veen, marking a significant victory. Post-match, Littler shared with Sportsboom his decision to venture forward independently, stating, “I’m flying solo now. I believe it’s the right move.”

Acknowledging the support of his family and mentioning the assistance he will receive from Garry at Target, Littler emphasized the positive trajectory he is on. While not disclosing specific details, he expressed that the timing was appropriate for this change.

In confirming the split, Littler expressed gratitude to ZXF Sports and Martin Foulds for their contributions to his career. He highlighted the valuable experiences shared over the past five years and the pivotal role they played in his journey thus far.

Following a recent social media post that hinted at retirement but turned out to be a promotion for a video game, Littler spoke to Sky Sports after his initial victory at the World Grand Prix. Reflecting on his performance, he expressed satisfaction with his play and emphasized the competitive spirit between himself and Gian van Veen.

Looking ahead, Littler is focused on the next stages of his career. Sky has introduced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming season, offering a substantial number of live matches across various leagues, including the Premier League. With an increased number of live Premier League games to be broadcast, Sky aims to enhance the viewing experience for sports enthusiasts.
