Treasury minister Dan Tomlinson stated that this assistance will amount to an average savings of £1,650 for pubs next year. While the pub sector will benefit from reduced business rates, other hospitality businesses like hotels and restaurants will not receive the same level of support.
Emma McClarkin, the chief executive of the BBPA, commended the government for addressing the financial challenges faced by pubs and ensuring their sustainability amid rising operational costs.
