If you own a TV with Freeview capabilities, it’s advisable to review the settings now. Freeview has recently announced several changes, including the introduction of a new channel and updates to the planner.

According to Freeview, on May 21, 2025, certain broadcasters will be modifying their channels. The new addition to Freeview is High Street TV, a shopping service that has been available on Sky and Virgin Media. High Street TV allows customers to shop for products 24/7, emphasizing convenience and accessibility.

High Street TV can now be found on channel 95. Additionally, three existing channels are undergoing name changes. That’s Dance (Ch 76) will be renamed That’s Pride, That’s Oldies (Ch 78) will become That’s Summer, and That’s Dance MCR (Ch 79) will be known as That’s Pride MCR.

To ensure you receive all the latest updates on your TV, it is recommended to perform a retune. Freeview advises users to retune their devices to keep channels and the TV Guide up to date. The process involves accessing the menu on your box or TV remote control, selecting options like ‘set-up’ or ‘installation,’ choosing ‘first-time installation,’ and saving the channels found during the retune process.

By following these steps, you can update your TV and stay informed about the changes in channel lineup.
