Lewis Hamilton has shared the heartbreaking news of his bulldog Roscoe’s passing. The Formula 1 champion had been caring for Roscoe since rushing him to a veterinary clinic on Wednesday due to a sudden decline in his health. Despite efforts to stabilize Roscoe, he slipped into a coma, prompting concerns about his recovery.

Hamilton took to social media to update his followers, asking for their support and prayers as Roscoe battled pneumonia and underwent medical procedures. Tragically, Hamilton later announced Roscoe’s passing, expressing gratitude for the love shown to his beloved pet over the years.

Roscoe, who had been a constant companion to Hamilton since 2013, had accompanied him to various F1 races, including witnessing Hamilton’s historic seventh drivers’ title victory in Istanbul. The beloved bulldog had a public presence, making appearances at events like the British Grand Prix and amassing a significant following on his own Instagram page.

Despite his scheduled participation in a tyre test in Italy, Hamilton chose to remain by Roscoe’s side, forgoing the event to be with his ailing pet. As a result, reserve driver Zhou Guanyu stepped in to take Hamilton’s place at the track.
