Disgraced former royal, Andrew Windsor, is reportedly spending his final weeks at Royal Lodge isolated and talking to himself, while his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, seeks solace and confides in staff at a discreet bar called The Doghouse, according to sources.
Both stripped of their titles by King Charles, the former royals now reside separately within the expansive 30-room Windsor residence. They occasionally gather for meals to discuss their uncertain futures.
A source revealed that Andrew seldom ventures out and has been aimlessly wandering around the lodge, muttering to himself. Meanwhile, Sarah, aged 66, frequents an exclusive bar named The Doghouse on the Windsor estate, where she opens up to close friends and staff.
The insider disclosed that despite living apart within the extensive residence, Andrew and Sarah convene regularly for meals to deliberate on their forthcoming paths. Sarah, in particular, is anxious about the future and expresses concerns about potential threats targeting Andrew, especially in light of the Epstein scandal.
Reportedly, Sarah spends evenings at The Doghouse, seeking advice and support from friends and staff to cope with the upheavals in her life. Concerns arise about where Sarah will reside next, away from Andrew, who is expected to relocate to King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
Although their relationship is strained, the couple remains united in their efforts to shield their daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, from the ongoing turmoil. Sarah’s distress has prompted visits from her sister, Jane, for moral support.
Andrew’s lack of sympathy contrasts with the support Sarah receives from friends and staff. Sarah is described as being “gripped by paranoia” and burdened by the weight of the world. She is apprehensive about her future security and seeks refuge with friends amid the uncertainties.
A spokesperson for Sarah Ferguson declined to provide comments on the matter.
