Donald Trump has not yet received a Nobel Peace Prize, but FIFA has acknowledged his ability to negotiate peace deals through threats of tariffs. The FIFA governing body has introduced a new peace prize, which will be presented to Trump at the World Cup draw event in Washington DC.

During the ceremony, Trump was awarded a golden trophy symbolizing the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize. The presentation featured performances by Robbie Williams and Nicole Scherzinger. FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Trump’s actions and awarded him a medal as well.

In a separate incident, Trump suggested renaming American football, stating that the term “football” should solely refer to soccer. He received positive feedback from Infantino on this idea. Trump expressed gratitude for the “honour” of receiving the made-up award, highlighting his perceived accomplishments in preventing conflicts.

Trump and Infantino share a close relationship, with Infantino being recognized for his efforts to flatter Trump. The Homeland Security secretary announced an expansion of the travel ban to over 30 countries. Additionally, Trump spoke at the White House Christmas tree lighting event, using the platform to comment on various topics, including his alleged role in ending conflicts.

Despite claims of resolving conflicts, Trump’s statements regarding peace deals with Rwanda and Congo were met with skepticism. There were doubts about the effectiveness of the agreements in truly ending violence in the region. Trump’s speech also included references to sports personalities and events.

Overall, the ceremony and Trump’s statements were a mix of praise and controversy, showcasing the complex nature of his presidency and interactions with global organizations.
