An elderly man, aged in his 80s, was involved in a fatal collision with a lorry near The Church of Our Lady, where the funeral of Dylan Commins was scheduled to take place. The elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene, leading to the closure of the main road where the funeral procession was supposed to pass.

Authorities stated that emergency services were currently at the scene of a road incident on the Main Street of Ardee, Co Louth, which occurred on the morning of November 21, 2025. The Main Street of Ardee remained closed while emergency services attended to the situation.
