A high-end butcher shop has increased the price of what may be the most expensive turkey in the UK to over £380. This luxury bird, known as the Woodland Bronze Turkey, is now priced at a staggering £381.55, up from its previous cost of £363 during the last Christmas season. C Lidgate, a renowned family butcher located in Holland Park, West London, has been selling this premium turkey, which is considered one of the priciest options available. The shop, with five generations of expertise, is known for sourcing its beef from the royal Highgrove Estate.
The Woodland Bronze Turkey is valued for its unique qualities due to its free-range lifestyle. These turkeys have a healthy outdoor existence that sets them apart from mass-produced birds, resulting in black feather stubble that diminishes during cooking, leaving behind a skin known for its exceptional flavor and crispiness.
Available in various sizes, ranging from 2.5 to 3kg at £85.19 to a massive 12.5 to 13kg option at £381.55, these turkeys will be on sale starting November 20th. In comparison, Tesco offers a £119 turkey for 18 people, while Morrisons provides a 12-person portion for £53.13.
