Júlia was found in the early hours of October 5, her body covered in bruises and with multiple fractures. Her mother, Jozi Maria de Paula, was devastated by the sight of her daughter’s battered form, suspecting she had been assaulted and strangled. Recounting the harrowing moment, Jozi described finding Júlia in bed, clad in a black jacket, her body riddled with injuries.
Júlia’s boyfriend, Aleff Wingler, has been taken into custody following the tragic incident at their home in Cariacica, Brazil. Jozi firmly believes he is responsible, mentioning that he left with Júlia’s key. The couple had attended a party the night before, with Júlia’s father driving them home. The arrest took place as Aleff attempted to flee on a bus to São Mateus, leading to his apprehension in Serra, north of Vitoria.
