Apple has had a hectic week with the launch of several new products, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models with M5 processors. The tech giant has now revealed the MacBook Neo, offering a colorful design, impressive performance, and a 13-inch screen for just £599, making it the most affordable MacBook yet.
Priced £500 lower than the latest MacBook Air, the MacBook Neo is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, providing sufficient performance for daily digital tasks. Running on macOS, it supports popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With over 15 hours of battery life, the MacBook Neo is highly efficient. It comes with two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. The laptop also features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, a Magic Keyboard, and Multi-Touch trackpad.
Available for pre-order now, the MacBook Neo is set to hit stores next week in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus color options. Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, expressed excitement about the new product, highlighting its affordability and unique features that set it apart from other laptops.
