Amazon has unveiled a range of new products, prompting owners of Echo, Fire TV Stick, and Kindle devices to consider upgrading. The company showcased these updates at an event in New York, with the products set to be available on Amazon’s store soon.
Among the new offerings are four new Echo speakers, including the Echo Dot Max and a revamped Echo Studio. These speakers feature a new design, enhanced Alexa capabilities, and improved sound quality. Amazon claims that Echo Dot Max owners will enjoy nearly three times the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th gen).
Additionally, the Echo Studio has been redesigned to be 40% smaller while delivering top-notch sound quality for its size. For those interested in devices with screens, Amazon introduced two new Echo Show speakers: the Show 8 and Show 11. These devices boast innovative displays that offer a superior viewing experience and adaptive ambient visuals.
Moreover, both Echo Show models come with an upgraded audio system, including front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer for immersive spatial audio. Beyond the Echo lineup, Amazon introduced the Scribe Colorsoft, an all-new Kindle model. This device, part of the Scribe series, features an 11-inch color display, ideal for reading comics and for artistic endeavors.
The Scribe Colorsoft is designed to be ultra-thin and lightweight, with a texture-molded glass screen that mimics the feel of writing on paper with a pen. It also includes a backlight for nighttime use, a faster processor for improved performance, and weeks of battery life despite the color display.
Amazon’s latest Fire TV Stick, the 4K Select, offers enhanced 4K visuals at a more affordable price point compared to its Ultra HD counterparts. Other updates from the event include new Fire TV screens and an updated Ring Doorbell that now supports 4K recordings. All these new devices are expected to launch in the near future.
