Amazon is set to launch a major update for Fire TV devices this month, promising a revamped user experience. The new Fire TV interface is designed to be cleaner, faster, and more organized, aiming to make it simpler for users to discover their preferred content.
In addition to the redesign, Amazon has introduced new categories for easier navigation of movies, TV shows, news, live content, and sports from all used services. Users can now pin their favorite apps to the home screen, access a more user-friendly menu system, and quickly open the Shortcut Panel by long-pressing the Home button without interrupting their video playback.
Moreover, the free system update claims to enhance performance by up to 30%. Fire TV users can also look forward to a dedicated football hub ahead of the upcoming summer of football, enabling them to stay updated on match schedules and stream live games through local providers.
The updated Fire TV experience is currently rolling out to Fire TV Stick HD (newest model) and Amazon Ember Artline devices. Other models, such as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, are expected to receive the update soon.
Amazon has expressed excitement about expanding the new interface to more Fire TV devices in the future and advised users to stay tuned for updates on device availability. For users who have compatible devices but have not yet received the update, Amazon recommends restarting the device and waiting for the automatic update to arrive in the following weeks.
