Google has issued a critical warning for Chrome users, urging them to update their browser immediately. The latest version of Chrome has been released to address four bugs, including one that has been classified as a zero-day vulnerability, indicating that hackers are actively exploiting it.

According to Google, the exploit identified as CVE-2025-10585 is already being used in the wild. Although specific details about the vulnerability and its impact remain undisclosed, the company’s Threat Analysis Group reported it earlier this month.

To ensure protection against this security threat, users should verify that they are running version 140.0.7339.185/.186 for Windows/Mac or 140.0.7339.185 for Linux. If an older version is detected, users are advised to promptly update their browser.

Google recommends checking the installed Chrome version by accessing the browser menu and selecting “About Chrome.” Following the update, users should not encounter any further issues. If the latest version is not yet available, Google assures users that it will be rolled out across all browsers in the coming days or weeks.
