German special forces have been dispatched following an alert of an attack at a school in Germany. The incident occurred at Westfalenkolleg, a vocational school in Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia. Reports indicate that one individual sustained severe, potentially life-threatening, injuries. The perpetrator has been apprehended and is in police custody.

The suspect fled the scene after a female student was stabbed in the school’s gym. Following a search, the suspect contacted the authorities and surrendered himself near Lake Padersee. The suspect is identified as a 25-year-old local with German citizenship. The motive behind the attack remains unknown.

Police received a call at 1:15pm reporting the stabbing of a female student by a male suspect in the gym. The school activated a “rampage alarm,” prompting police response in case of a shooting or knife attack. A student sustained serious injuries in the knife attack and is undergoing emergency surgery.

Following a suspected stabbing incident at a vocational school in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, one person is in critical condition. The suspect, now detained by police, reportedly entered the school carrying a bladed weapon. Westfalenkolleg went into lockdown earlier due to a school shooting alarm.
