Keir Starmer has criticized Nigel Farage as an obstacle to progress and has vowed to reclaim British flags from the Reform party, asserting that he will never relinquish them.

During a passionate speech at the Labour party conference in Liverpool, the Prime Minister also accused Nigel Farage of harboring negative sentiments towards Britain and lacking faith in the country.

Addressing the audience, Starmer handed out Welsh, English, Union Jack, and Scottish flags, emphasizing that these symbols represent unity for all citizens.

Identifying himself as a patriot, Sir Keir praised Britain as a nation characterized by tolerance and reasonableness. He took a direct swipe at Farage, pledging to take back the flag from those who seek to divide the country.

In his words, “While free speech is a cherished British principle, inciting racist violence and hatred is not an expression of concern but a criminal act.”

Starmer went on to highlight the importance of inclusivity and rejected any notion that individuals should be judged based on their ethnicity. He strongly condemned racial intolerance and emphasized the need to stand against those who threaten national unity.

Supporters enthusiastically waved flags throughout the speech as the PM urged them to embrace the diverse representation of the country’s identity.

He remarked, “Britain is at a crossroads, but we envision a future where dignity and respect prevail, where our flags symbolize celebration of diversity and rejection of racism.”

The Prime Minister earlier criticized Farage for lacking solutions to the nation’s challenges and continuously disparaging Britain. He pointed out Farage’s failure to offer positive outlooks for the country’s future.

Starmer also condemned Farage’s proposal to eliminate a primary pathway to citizenship for legal immigrants, labeling it as discriminatory. He further criticized Reform UK’s proposed mass deportations of asylum seekers, including the detention of women and children.

Additionally, Starmer disapproved of the violent actions during the Southport riots, condemning such behavior as unjustifiable.

In conclusion, Starmer reinforced his commitment to combating divisive rhetoric and promoting unity within the nation, emphasizing the values of respect and inclusivity for all.
