Lisandra left her job recently and was pleasantly surprised to receive a call informing her that she was to be rewarded £1,770 for reporting an empty property. The payment came from YouSpotProperty.com, a platform that offers vouchers and cash incentives to individuals who report vacant and neglected houses in their local areas.

Upon spotting an abandoned property in Crawley, Lisandra, a 37-year-old from Portugal living in the UK, decided to report it to YouSpotProperty. She noticed the property’s neglected garden and boarded-up windows, indicating it was unoccupied. Lisandra’s keen eye for detail led her to report the property, thinking it was worth a try for a potential reward.

The timing of the reward couldn’t have been better for Lisandra, who was in the process of leaving her job and attending multiple interviews. The £1,770 she received provided financial relief during her job transition period, giving her the flexibility to focus on securing new employment.

Lisandra, along with her partner who works at Gatwick Airport, plans to use any surplus from the reward towards renovating their home. YouSpotProperty has distributed over £1 million in rewards to the public through vouchers and property value shares. Ben Radstone, co-founder of YouSpotProperty.com, emphasized the importance of engaging local communities in revitalizing empty properties to prevent further deterioration and misuse.
