Lewis Hamilton has committed to focusing and putting in the effort to improve his performance at Ferrari, following previous remarks where he suggested he should be replaced. Hamilton, who is currently in the initial year of his lucrative £60 million per annum contract with Ferrari, has faced challenges as he sits in sixth place in the F1 standings, trailing his teammate Charles Leclerc by 42 points.

Struggling to secure a podium finish in 14 races for Ferrari and having only outperformed Leclerc twice this season, Hamilton expressed frustration after a disappointing qualifying session at the Hungarian Grand Prix. However, a break in the middle of the season allowed him time for introspection and rejuvenation.

Acknowledging the pressure and lack of enjoyment in the first half of the season, Hamilton expressed determination and motivation to make changes in their approach and rediscover the joy in racing. Despite receiving support from fellow drivers like George Russell, who dismissed Hamilton’s self-criticism as baseless, Hamilton remains focused on regaining his form and competitiveness.

When questioned about offering advice to Hamilton, veteran racer Fernando Alonso emphasized Hamilton’s exceptional talent and expressed confidence in his ability to bounce back. Formula 1 enthusiasts can catch all the live action, including practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and races, by availing of Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which also includes access to over 100 TV channels and complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
