During the same timeframe, 18,100 U.S. residents entered Canada by crossing the bridge.
In addition to the traffic through the Gordie Howe International Bridge, other border crossings in the area, such as the Ambassador Bridge and the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel, recorded a total of 52,700 inbound trips by both Canadian and U.S. residents during the same period. Furthermore, StatCan noted that 4,100 commercial transport trucks made their way into Canada through the Gordie Howe bridge in the last five days of July.
