Lenovo has introduced a formidable competitor to Apple’s iPad with the unveiling of the Tab Plus Gen 2, signaling increased competition in the tablet market. Featuring a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and vivid Dolby Vision visuals, the device presents a visually striking front profile typical of large-screen tablets.

A notable departure from conventional designs, the Tab Plus Gen 2 showcases a sizable circular speaker powered by JBL technology at the back, offering enhanced audio quality for entertainment and gaming experiences. Moreover, the device can function as a Bluetooth speaker through a unique mode and supports impressive Dolby Atmos audio for an immersive sound experience.

Adding to its appeal, the Tab Plus Gen 2 comes equipped with a convenient built-in kickstand that allows for hands-free movie viewing, with a versatile 360 design enabling landscape, portrait, and carry handle modes for increased portability. Internally, the tablet boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, a substantial 10,200mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, and 128GB of storage expandable via an SD Card.

Priced at £369 on the Lenovo website, the Tab Plus Gen 2 presents a compelling alternative to Apple’s iPad lineup, which starts at £429 and goes up to £749 for the improved Air model.
