Sarah Ferguson is reportedly planning to move to a luxurious £3.6 million mansion in Portugal. The 66-year-old former duchess has kept a low profile recently following her involvement in a controversy where she apologized to Jeffrey Epstein for criticizing him in an email after his release from prison.

Due to the fallout from this scandal and her ex-husband Prince Andrew’s own controversies, both Sarah and Andrew have lost their Royal titles and their Royal Lodge residence. While Andrew, aged 65, is set to relocate to a property on King Charles’ private Sandringham estate, Sarah is said to be organizing separate accommodation, with Portugal emerging as a likely choice.

Reports suggest that Sarah is expected to reside in a luxury oceanfront villa in Portugal owned by her daughter Princess Eugenie and Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank. The couple purchased the property at the Costa Terra Golf and Ocean Club resort in Melides earlier in 2022 and have been dividing their time between Portugal and their residence at Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace.

The resort, located about 82 miles south of Lisbon, offers a secluded environment suitable for maintaining a low profile away from the public eye in the UK. It boasts amenities like a beach club, various dining options, and activities such as yoga, watersports, hiking, and golf. Additionally, there is an equestrian center for Sarah to indulge in her passion for horses.

If Sarah finalizes the move, she will join other notable individuals like Madonna and Alicia Vikander, who are rumored to own properties in the same area. A source familiar with the Costa Terra resort commented that it would provide a peaceful refuge for Sarah amidst ongoing scrutiny related to the Epstein affair in the US.

A resident on the estate mentioned that there are expectations of Sarah arriving in January, with the potential for her to integrate well into the social scene if her stay becomes long-term. The exclusive neighborhood has seen an influx of celebrities and Hollywood stars acquiring residences, making it a popular choice for luxury living.
