Toto Wolff believes the latter part of Lewis Hamilton’s career at Ferrari will not define his legacy. Hamilton, 40, is aiming to secure his eighth Formula 1 drivers’ championship with the Italian team before retiring.

Although Hamilton has yet to achieve a podium finish with Ferrari this season, his remarkable track record as one of the sport’s greatest drivers is already well-established. With 105 Grand Prix wins, he stands as one of only two seven-time champions alongside Michael Schumacher.

Most of Hamilton’s success was achieved during his 12-year tenure with Mercedes, where he clinched multiple titles under the guidance of team principal Wolff. Despite facing challenges adapting to Ferrari, particularly highlighted by his recent sixth-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix, Wolff remains confident in Hamilton’s abilities.

Wolff emphasized that Hamilton’s move to Ferrari was driven by a mutual need for change, with both parties seeking a fresh competitive environment. Acknowledging the frustrations Hamilton currently faces, Wolff expressed optimism that a few successful race weekends could significantly alter Hamilton’s fortunes.
