Looking ahead, we will deactivate the outdated 2G network to focus on delivering reliable and efficient 4G and 5G mobile services to all customers.”
“Having recently phased out our 3G network and committed to the government’s 2G switch-off initiative, we are well-prepared to execute this transition responsibly and without causing disruptions to customers. While most customers will not require any action, some businesses may need to start planning for this change now.
We will engage directly with customers and provide support as this necessary upgrade progresses.”
The scheduled shutdown in 2029 allows customers and businesses time to prepare and update any devices that rely on 2G connectivity.
