The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs brands, went up for sale in October 2025 due to declining sales. Sky News revealed that potential bidders must submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although it remains uncertain if they will submit a bid.

The company, formerly known as Revolution Bars, rebranded to The Revel Collective in 2024. In April 2024, a sale process was initiated but was halted after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. The company closed around 36 sites in 2024 as part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court. Challenging economic conditions and government interventions have hindered the company’s recovery efforts post-restructuring. Revenues declined by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, with a 10.5% drop in like-for-like bar sales.

Cost-of-living pressures on younger customers and increased debts have impacted the company’s financial performance. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express chairman, took over as chairman of The Revel Collective in September, aiming to explore new opportunities for the company. The company emphasizes reducing costs and improving margins to counter the negative effects of recent economic changes.
