Failed assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks, who targeted Donald Trump, had a peculiar interest in unconventional fetishes, particularly admiring muscular women. Crooks attempted to shoot then-presidential candidate Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania in July 2024, grazing Trump’s ear before being killed. Following the incident, the FBI delved into Crooks’ online activities, revealing his fascination with animated muscular women images on DevianArt.

The investigation disclosed that Crooks acted alone, refuting online speculations of a broader conspiracy. FBI officials, including director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, confirmed the extensive nature of the probe, involving 500 employees conducting over 1,000 interviews globally. Patel emphasized the priority given to the case, underscoring Trump’s status as a victim on the day of the attack.

There was no evidence linking Crooks to foreign entities, and the FBI dismissed claims of a second shooter or missing ammunition. Crooks used a .223 rifle in the attack, injuring Trump and impacting the 2024 presidential race. Patel defended the FBI against criticism for not preventing the assault, highlighting the lack of prior knowledge about Crooks within law enforcement circles.
