Google has shifted its strategy by unveiling new Pixel smartphones earlier than usual. This move aims to outpace Apple, as the tech giant introduced a range of upgraded devices ahead of the anticipated iPhone 17 release next month. The new lineup includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL with a massive 6.8-inch screen.
These new devices boast a faster and more intelligent Tensor G5 processor, improved battery life, durable design with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and rapid charging capabilities. Opting for the Pro models offers an advanced rear camera system capable of 100x zoom and capturing high-quality images, even in low-light conditions.
Google’s smartphones are equipped with AI features and full access to Google Gemini, enhancing user interaction with the devices. A notable new feature in Google apps, Magic Cue, provides proactive contextual suggestions to streamline user experience. Additionally, the Camera Coach feature assists users in capturing better photos instantly.
Another innovation is Pixelsnap technology, similar to iPhone’s MagSafe, enabling easy attachment of wireless chargers, stands, and other accessories to Pixel 10 devices. The Pixel 10 range will be available in various attractive colors and starts at £799. In addition to the new smartphones, Google will soon release a foldable device called the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, featuring an 8-inch Super Actua Flex display and IP68 dust and water resistance.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold also offers the powerful Tensor processor, long battery life, fast charging, and a triple-lens camera. Priced at £1,749, this foldable device stands out in Jade color. For Apple enthusiasts, Mirror Online suggests keeping an eye out for the upcoming iPhone reveal on September 9th.
